My little brother is coming to stay this weekend and being in need of some tlc and a good kick up the bum, I’ve come up with a younger-brother-friendly itinerary that should delight and inspire in equal measure. Don’t quote me on that.
However, if he weren’t coming this weekend this is what I would be filling my time with:
Saturday morning 10 July: Gorilla Circus, Old Deer Park, Richmond
Bringing circus to the great outdoors Gorilla Circus safely erect flying trapeze rigs (and safety nets) in parks around London. Sign up for a single swing or for a short lesson or course. The adrenalin of stepping off a 20ft + platform and swinging, with Richmond Park as your setting, is the biggest legal high possible.
Going Up: Running away with the circus dream – 1 step closer
Going Down: £25 for a session
Saturday evening 10 July: Boutique Run, Battersea Park, 5/10k run, 6pm
Going Up: GirlsGirlsGirls
Going Down: Where are the hot men?
Sunday 10 July: Bike Radar Live 2010, Brands Hatch
A cycling event for hardcore cross-country enthusiasts to those just losing their stabilizers. I might add am neither, but the line-up of films, stunt displays, sexy bikes to buy, 50 – 106 mile trails, a skills school to boost confidence get my spokes twitching.
Going up: British Heart Foundation lap track – all entry fees go to BHF. Also, secure bike lock up and bike wash facilities
Going down: bike geeks unanonymous?
